-HP- The Norwegian Ridgeback

With the help of neondragonart book, I have come to the conclusion to draw all ten pureblood dragons from the Harry Potter series. Here is the sixth of the ten. I took what I could from the book, and constructed the rest. This is what I believe the dragons would look like.

Part Seven: The Peruvian Vipertooth
Part Eight: The Romanian Longhorn
Part Nine: The Swedish Short Snout
Part Ten: The Ukrainian Ironbelly


Norwegian Ridgeback:

This is a rare breed, due in part to its unusual tendency to attack other dragons of the same species. Once again it is black in colour, and closely resembles the Hungarian Horntail except for the black ridges it has on its back. It feeds off both land and water mammals, which is unusual for a dragon.

Norbert, the dragon that Hagrid hatched with the intention of adopting as a pet, was a Norwegian Ridgeback. Although it was less than three weeks old when Charlie Weasley took it off his hands, it had already grown to several times its hatching size on its diet of brandy and chicken blood and was biting everything in sight.
